We list major product changes that affect how BookerPal works for artists, venues, and organizers. This page is updated as new releases land.

For safety, we avoid operational and security details that could help compromise the platform. Each entry focuses on user-facing outcomes rather than internal implementation.

2026-04-15 — Events calendar view

Features

  • Find Events now includes a calendar view in addition to grid and list. You can switch views from the same controls above the results.
  • Calendar day previews now show organiser name + event title and support hover to reveal full names when text is truncated.
  • Clicking a day opens that day’s events as familiar list-style cards, so browsing details stays consistent across views.

Fixes

  • Fixed a timezone issue where clicking a calendar day could show the previous day’s events for some users.

2026-04-14 — Find Organisers directory

Features

  • New Find Organisers page (/organisations): browse venues and promoters with public listings, search, filters (upcoming vs any listed show vs all organisations), and sort. The home hero and main navigation include a shortcut to the same page.
  • Each card shows a short description and up to three recent or upcoming public events, including completed past shows when you widen the filter.

2026-03-30 — Mobile site navigation

Features

  • On phones and narrow screens, the main navigation (Home, events, projects, and so on) is available from a menu button in the header, so you can reach every link without hunting on desktop-only layouts.

2026-03-20 — Smoother project create and edit

Fixes & improvements

  • Creating or editing a project is less likely to confuse your browser’s autofill with the project name field or the Instagram link field (which could look like a login field to some browsers).
  • Optional website and social/music links must be full web addresses starting with https:// (or http:// for local testing). If a link can’t be saved, you’ll see a clear error instead of the page jumping to a section with no explanation.
  • Founded year on the form stays valid for the current calendar year.

2026-03-10 — Set slot time when approving applications

Features

  • When approving an application, organisers can set a date and time for that act’s slot. The slot is shown in the applications admin and on the event page.
  • Calendar invites (ICS) sent with approval now use the set slot time when provided, so artists get the correct start time in their calendar.
  • Slot date and time can be added or updated later from the application notes panel without changing status or sending another email.

2026-03-07 — Featured artist and event on home

Features

  • The home page now shows a featured artist (project) and a featured event below the main hero. Projects with complete profiles and events that are still accepting applications can be featured. Complete your project profile to be eligible; publish an event and keep applications open to be considered.

2026-03-06 — Event embed

Features

  • Events can be embedded on external sites (e.g. venue or promoter websites). Organisers enable “Allow embed” and get a secret link/code; only visitors with that code can see the embedded event and apply. Applications from the embed use the same flow as on BookerPal and appear in the event’s applications admin. This feature is in beta.

2026-02-13 — Richer search results for events and projects

Features

  • Event and project pages now include structured data (JSON-LD) so search engines can show richer results—e.g. event date, location, and performers, or artist/organisation details—when your pages appear in search.

2026-02-11 — In-app messaging

Features

  • Organisations and artists can message each other in-app via project or event-linked threads.
  • Messages page lists your threads, supports search, and shows unread counts; email notifications when someone sends a message (no reply-by-email).
  • Start or open conversations from profile, project, organisation, event, and applications-admin pages.

2026-02-10 — Event page and application UI improvements

Features

  • Event page header now shows event location (venue name and city/state/country) under date and time.
  • Apply buttons show the category name (e.g. “Apply to Audio”); the application modal shows category description, instructions, and agreement more clearly.

Documentation

  • Help page updated with Application Instructions and Event Agreement explanation and a screenshot of the apply-to-category window.

2026-02-09 — Share links and rich previews

Features

  • Copy link to share events, projects, and organisation pages.
  • Rich preview images when sharing events and projects list pages on social platforms.
  • Updated password reset page layout and flow.
